- Availability windows — the days and times you are available for lessons
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to operate our lesson scheduling service:
- To send you SMS notifications when weather and wind conditions are suitable for a kiteboarding lesson
- To confirm or cancel lesson bookings via SMS
- To schedule and manage your lessons
- To contact you with information directly related to your lessons
We do not use your information for marketing unrelated to your lessons, and we do not sell your information to third parties.
3. SMS Communications
By providing your phone number and enrolling in our lesson scheduling system, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Knotheads regarding:
- Lesson availability notifications based on weather conditions
- Lesson confirmation and scheduling updates
- Reminders related to your upcoming lessons
Message frequency: Messages are sent only when weather conditions meet your shop's criteria, typically 0–2 messages per day during active seasons.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to your number.
To opt back in: Reply START to our number at any time.

4. How We Store Your Information
Your information is stored securely in our database, hosted by Supabase on industry-standard encrypted infrastructure. We retain your information for as long as you are an active client. You may request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate our scheduling system:
- Supabase — to store client and scheduling data securely
- Open-Meteo — to retrieve weather and wind forecast data. No personal data is shared with Open-Meteo
- Stripe — to process subscription payments from shops using our platform. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy
SMS messages are sent directly from your shop's own phone using their device's messaging app — no third-party SMS provider ever transmits or stores your message content.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify active clients of significant changes via SMS or email. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
